A Christmas Prayer

Jesus, Lord of my heart

I surrender yesterday's memories

And I thank You for today

I shall hope for tomorrow

For in You, I place my trust

Though this year was difficult

It has still held much beauty

You let nothing go to waste

Neither the storms nor the waiting 

You work all things for good

With love and grace

As the new year approaches

I remember to rest in You

So whatever 2021 holds

Lord, I humbly ask for this:

For the renewal of Your Spirit

And opportunities to love others
